The RoboSnail recharges itself by parking on its own charging station in between cleaning cycles.
The user when programming the product sets the desired depth for the product to clean to depending on the users substrate level. It will be the users responsibility to set the depth to 3 inches above the substrate to avoid any chance of the product running into ground. There will be in depth video instruction and regular instructions to ensure that the user sets up the product properly.
The RoboSnail does not turn corners but we are considering this possibility for the future.
No, the RoboSnail makes no more noise than a typical water pump, and only operates on the glass surface.
Once the RoboSnail is turned on, it will clean the aquarium surface every 24 hours. It can be manually turned on and off, or a timer can be used such as with lighting to adhere to your desired cleaning schedule.
Yes, however first versions may be only for glass with acrylic cleaning pads that will follow shortly thereafter.

  • The user first has an initial preparation of the glass surface and a simple program mode to complete
  • The RoboSnail can sense the aquarium top, left and right edges to calculate the appropriate cleaning pattern
  • The edge locations and respective distances are then stored in its internal memory for future cleanings
  • The RoboSnail will activate automatically once a day 24hrs after its last cleaning cycle requiring no input by the operator
